I thought that the book “Composition” was pretty good. It had a lot of information about what life was like to the people that lived in Cuba. I think that Pedro is a very smart boy for not telling the Captain exactly what his family does, and if I were his parents I would be very proud of him. All in all, I feel bad that the people in Cuba always have to worry about if someone is going to arrest them and kill them for what they believe in. Hopefully this will come to an end soon so that we don’t lose anymore World Citizens.

I thought the book had a lot of good information about what happens in Cuba if your against the dictatorship, and gave a good kid’s view of what they had to deal with. I think that Pedro made a smart desicion by lying in his composition, so his father wouldn’t get in trouble.
SO, I thought this book was pretty good!=]

I thought the book was very good. It was filled with a lot of information. I think that Pedro was a smart kid. He wrote that his parents play chess instead of listening to the radio. Captain Romo believed that Pedro’s family weren’t agaisnt dictatorship. So Pedro’s parents weren’ taken away.

My opinion on the book is that it’s all about the cruelty of dictatorship. It shows how dictators inforce their power by killing or torturing people who oppose the dictators rule.

I think that The Composition showed what it was like to live under strict dictatorship. It showed me how others live in Cuba and made me realize how good it is to live in America. I thought it was a good, informative book

I thought the book was pretty good and how a 9 year old was smart enough to outsmart a cuban solider.

I thought the book The Composition was kind of sad. It showed how some people have to live under a dictator and how their lives are always being watched. I feel lucky to live freely in America.

I like the book The Composition. I liked the end when Pedro was smart enough to realise not to write down that his dad is against the dictatorship. Pedro did not fall for the trick!

I think the book The Composition was good. Living under a dictatorship would be terrible and anything, but pleasureable. Pedro made a smart dicision by lieing because if he told the truth his parents would be arrested and killed.

The Composition is a book describing the everyday events of Pedro, a boy living Cuba under dictatorship. Many of his friends were taken away for being part if the resistance.

I think the book was ok. It wasn’t the best book I have ever read but it did contain a lot of good information. I was relieved when I read the Pedro didn’t tell the captain what his family really does because that would have been terrible. The government or rulers were really sneaky and sly. I don’ think that was right.

I think that Pedro was really smart. If I was 9 I wouldn’t have even thought to lie

I liked the book. It helped me get a little taste of what life was like for kids there. If I had to write a composistion like Pedro, I wouldn’t have thought to lie. I would of said my parents listened to the radio and then my parents would of been taken away. I’m glad America isn’t like this!
